Q10051 - HOWTO: Distribute a WinForms application using DotImage?

Deployment of an application in WinForms using DotImage is very simple.  Assuming that Atalasoft.dotImage, and Atalasoft.dotImage.WinControls are the only components being referenced, they simply need to be copied into the same folder as the EXE that references them.

Version 3.0 requires the .NET assembly Atalasoft.dotImage.Lib to be coppied as well.

Version 2.1 and below require that the AtalaImaging.dll library, located in the System32 folder in your development machine, must be copied to the same folder as your EXE or optionally in the System32 folder of the client machine.

You need to make sure that the assembiles you distribute are the same exact versions that the EXE was compiled with, otherwise the application will not run.

We don't recommend installing assemblies into the GAC for normal WinForm's applications.
