About Bill Bither's Insights

I was brought up in a rural town of Canaan, New York bordering the Berkshire Mountains in Massachusetts. My formal education is a BSME (Mechanical Engineering) from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. I worked for over 5 years in aerospace engineering at Hamilton Sundstrand designing and architecting mechanical and software systems for aircraft engines. During that time, I helped automate many complicated tasks by writing code, and started to develop applications in the field of imaging on the side. This led to my first commercial software product, EyeBatch, and founding the company Atalasoft in 2000. Atalasoft, Inc. has since grown into a successful business, leading the industry in Microsoft .NET Imaging tools for developers with revenue and profits doubling every year.

My interestes include cycling, nordic skiing, and learning about software development and business strategies.
