Today I met with the architect, contractor, electrician, and landlord to kick off the buildout of our new office space. This picture shows 5 of the 7 banks of windows in the primary space. Most of the junk on the ceiling will be removed (with the exception of the big duct), floors will be sanded and finished, walls will be sheetrocked. Part of this space used to be the mainframe room of Stanley Home Products. Only geeks like us deserve a space like this.

There will be some big improvements in the coming weeks. This is where we start. The posts to the left of this photo is the center of the space. The wall we're looking at will eventually be knocked down for an additional 3000sqft of space.
Here is the view of Mt. Tom from one of the windows. You can see the bikepath through the trees below. We just had a snowstorm the day before, which is pretty sweet for me being a nordic skier and with all our snow melting a week ago.
Our architect has solidified the plans a bit more. We opted for the full bathroom with shower. The one area we're unsure about is the receptionist desk. We don't have a receptionist, but an office manager / hr / bookeeper person who deserves a bigger space than that receptionist desk. Any suggestions with what to do with that area? Here is where we stand today.
