Atalasoft's Holiday Hours
From December 22nd to January 2nd Atalasoft will be running on a reduced support staff for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. We will be periodically checking cases submitted through our support portal during this time but cannot guarantee our normal response times. We encourage you to use our community forums during this time. Phone support will be completely unavailable. Our full support staff will be back in the office as of the 2nd of January.

Thanks for Meeting Us At TAWPI - See You At AIIM
Atalasoft sent two lucky guys, John and Eric, down to balmy Miami to warm their snow-chilled bones. Even though it was a small conference, our team met some amazing people while demo-ing Atalasoft's "From Capture to Archive" capabilities. We look forward too seeing a lot more people, much closer to home, at AIIM in Boston in March 2008. If you'd like to follow up with us post-TAWPI, or would like to set up a pre-AIIM meeting, please use the form via the link below.

Atalasoft to Retire ImgX and ImgXASP Next Year
Atalasoft has been selling and supporting ImgX and ImgXASP since 2002 but stopped new sales at the beginning of December. Support of these Active-X products will end in December of 2008 to focus exclusively on the .NET imaging platform DotImage.
In the short term, you will continue to receive the same excellent support contacts at Atalasoft but you should be planning your imaging toolkit needs beyond December of 2008. Atalasoft would like to provide you with the easiest path to .NET with as much information as possible about migrating or developing your imaging solutions using DotImage, the premiere .NET imaging toolkit. Please contact sales@atalasoft.com if you have any questions about the ImgX/ImgXASP retirement as well as upgrade options.
Go to the link below to get more complete information about the retirement of ImgX and ImgXASP as well as upgrade incentives to purchase DotImage.

Zonal OCR in DotImage
Several demos are available in our SDK download but we're always working on new ones. The link below is to a forum post that Atalasoft's President, Bill Bither, posted in response to questions about programming an OCR selection. Bill quickly created a Zonal OCR project and attached it as a zipped file to the post.
