Did you hear the news?!

Atalasoft is being acquired. By Kofax!

It’s been slightly crazy around here, as you can imagine. Lots of questions, phone calls, paper, emails flying about and best of all, excitement.

Despite the fact that we are being purchased by a large, publicly traded company, we can and will continue to eat bacon. And throw flying monkeys at each other. And continue to develop excellent products, offer unparalleled service, purchase hideous birthday cakes, and maintain our usual goofy-but-incredibly-focused atmosphere.

I woke up this morning still slightly stunned that I get to be a part of it. Kofax will offer Atalasoft and all of our team support while keeping us just the way we are. How often does that happen? From what I understand… not often.

I think the best part of the morning was that a customer expressed some discomfort over the announced acquisition (stay with me here). They sounded uneasy. Then they read Bill’s blog post—and they felt great. First, it means our customers are as dedicated as we are, which is pretty darn touching. Second, they saw that this deal is a very positive thing, not just for Atalasoft, but for our customers, too. And that’s what we’re all about.
