New to .NET

I am interested in evaluating DotImage 5.0 for a new project. My first obstacle is that I am new to .NET. Can I start with Visual Studio 2008? Or is DotImage 5.0 dependent on Visual Studio 2005?

DotImage will work fine with VS 2008.
