To create the thumbnails, I basically use a scroll view OCX control and populate it with indexed ImgX controls. I keep track of the scroll window size so that the rows and columns are set correctly. I load the images using FromJPGScaled.
The List view is exclusively for showing EXIF data. If you select several files (either from the right file list or by selecting thumbnails) and go to List (via toolbar or right-click on thumbnail(s)), you get the EXIF data for the selected file(s). All operations work this way - Print, Publish, List, Etc. You select files or thumbs, and then the operation.
The other easy way to get EXIF data is to just let the tooltip come up. Set your mouse on a thumbnail and the tooltip will show the EXIF data. You can set how long the delay is (from immediate to 20 seconds) in the settings. The default is 2 seconds. You can also change what EXIF tags show in the tooltip in the settings. I use the tooltips the most. I only use the List view when i want to compare EXIF data between images or I want to print it.
Hopefully this makes more sense.
