The project is to develop a navigation tool for blind. It requires to capture an image from a web-cam & identify is the desired object from it from a set of pre-fed images.

How do i go about it? I have heard that Image Processing is far easier in matlab than in Java or C#. Also is it possible to integrate matlab code into java or C#?

Please guide me guys.
