I have the WebAnnotationsViewer  and webThumbNailViewer in a ASP.NET page which uses a masterpage. I have the following properties set:

ThumbNailViewer.ShowAnnotations = true
ImageViewer.AutoLinkThumbnailViewer = true

I have tried
ThumbNailViewer.ViewerID = ImageViewer
and also
ThmubNailViewer.ViewerID = ImageViewer.ClientID
 

but the annotations do not appear in the thumbnails. Any help is appreciated.

This is a known issue, and has been fixed for the next release.
