    WebViewer Licencing and atalasoft.dotimage.lic

I am testing the webviewer but keep getting and error stating atalasoft.dotimage.lic is missing, I do not know how to create this file. I have searched knowledge base and forums but can not find a clear answer.

Run the lic wizard and request a demo license:

    "C:\Program Files\Atalasoft\DotImage 5.0\AtalasoftToolkitActivation.exe"

     Cheers

    Greetings, Brett --

Netdocs is correct for evaluating -- just run the toolkit activation wizard.  However, if this is on a server, you'll need a server license.  Contact our sales department for more information (sales @ atalasoft.com)

    Re: WebViewer Licencing and atalasoft.dotimage.lic

Do I need a server licence if I am using a desktop application but using a wcf service to deliver the image to the client? This is the senario I am working with. I wish to seperate the image processing so the client can close the application and reopen it at will and still have a wcf running async services in the background. It would do a lot of the image processing on the client machine even while the client application is closed, ready for the next time the client opens his app. I can not get the Atalasoft control to register in a wcf service even though I have a pro licence for v6. How do I do this with the dll and test in a windows virtual machine?

What is hosting the WCF?  Is it installed as a Windows service?

Is it on the client machine?  If so, do other machines connect to it?

    If

    1. It is a windows service

    2. It is on the client machine with the desktop app

    3. No other machines connect to it

Then just add an licx file to the service .exe build with the licensing information you need.
