With the release of DotImage 2.0, it is now possible to create a thick-client imaging application embedded in a browser, similarly to an ActiveX control.  The way this works is fairly simple.  Instead of creating a Form and dropping the DotImage control onto that, create a UserControl.  The usercontrol can be embedded in the HTML or ASPX page via an object tag, and properties exposed to control the behavior. 

You can only run this on localhost for evaluation. You'll need to place your eval license file in the same folder as the DotAnnotate dll. You'll need to purchase a web deploy license for production use to deploy it from a location other than http://localhost/.

Do I need to do more then trust http://www.atalasoft.com ?

I tried it on 2 PC XP sp2 and 1 win2003, maybe the security is too tight?

I have exactly the same problem. The control just shows as a missing image! How to fox it?

I have exactly the same problem with yours. If the control shows as a missing image, while you have configured your .NET configuration to run the control, it has something to do with IE security.

If you are using Win XP and has download the latest IE security update from microsoft site, your activeX control won't run. By default microsoft has blocked all activeX control except the popular activex control such as Sun java, Quicktime, windows media player, Macromedia Flash, Realplayer and acrobat reader.

There are some workaround for this problem, which I do not know yet.

Make sure you are using Internet Explorer and not anything else as to the best of my knowledge you can only host windows user controls in IE.
