Hello
I have a vendor web application that uses the ImgXPrint control and we are having some issues with the Internet Explorer browser crashing. I have contacted the vendor and this was "sent to development'....which may or may not get me an answer :).....but I thought I would post here and solict some ideas or suggestions while I was waiting.
Client= Windows 7 (64 bit OS)
Browser= IE 8
DLLs= ImgXprint6, ImgXDialog6, and ImgXCtrnl6 installed from an ActiveX CAB file all are v6.4.0.12
Our preferred browser would be the 32 bit Internet Explorer.
32 bit browser path = C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
64 bit browser path = C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
Opening the webpage using the 32 bit browser prompts for installation of the CAB file, this starts the install routine for Atalasoft.... Install reports no errors.... Add-ons show up in browser "Manage Add-ons" as enabled.
However once installed the browser crashes and it wants to close the IE application.
Opening the page using the 64 bit browser does not prompt for installation of the ActiveX controls. So they never get installed. they do not show up as installled Add-ons either. And as expected the application doesn't work as designed.
Are there any known issues with ImgX v6.4 and Windows 7 (64 bit)?
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
Cheers!
Mike
