    How does Atalasoft test dotTwain?

I know you Atalasoft is into automated testing and have probably put some good thought into it, but how do you test your scanning components? Do you use some kind of virtual scanner? How do you handle TWAIN's propensity for modal dialogs?

I guess the same goes to other Atalasoft customers. How do you perform automated tests on apps that use dotTwain?

DotTwain is not part of our automated testing because it requires user interaction.  Virtual scanners are not as good for testing as a real device.  When we make changes or add features we always test with scanners from a few manufacturers, including Kodak, Fujitsu and Panasonic.
