hello everyone

I have a very old faded image and a very old textured image i would like to be able to sort these images out i've search the net and has come across histogram qualization i do not know anything about it but i've read a little just to see what it does i am not sure if it is a software or code but would like to use it for my faded image as for the textured image is there something i can use to get rid of the texture and creases in the image.
