regarding the OCR and searchable PDF Translator

    Hi,

we have purchased the DotImage, Dot Annotate and Dot Twain licenses earlier and we developed an application. now we have purchaced the OCR (Glyph) and the PDF Translator Server license for coverting the documents into searchable PDF. I have developed a service to create the searchable PDF's  at the server. everything is fine. but my original application developed in one system and the the system on which my service license is going to install is different. for that server I have only PDF translator and OCR License. and my dot image license is on another system. so can i instal that license in server and start working with it.can you suggest what to do now. is there any way i can install only the ocr pdf translator license and work on it.

    -regards

An OCR and PDF Translator license requires DotImage, so what you request is not feasible.  You'll need to purchase an additional server license of DotImage for the second server.

    Hi

Thank you for your reply. I have one more doubt.

now we are developing the DotImage based application and the Running the OCR on a same machine. Now we want to install that on a client's machine. how to install our project along with the OCR engine(Glyph Reader) . Do I need to Install the Atalasoft's DotImage SDK at clients place , in order to install the OCR??

and can you explain me about the runtime licenses( we have 20 runtime licenses).

    and its expiration.

Dear Bill, Please clarify the above doubts. thank you

    -regards

When deploying to a client's machine, you do not need to install the SDK.  You simply need to copy the referenced .NET assemblies and the GlyphReader dll's to a single folder.  If you do this, you'll need to include the GlyphReaderLoader class in a static method of your project per instructions in the documentation here:

    http://www.atalasoft.com/products/dotimage/docs/Atalasoft.dotImage.Ocr~Atalasoft.Ocr.GlyphReaderLoader.html

You must also ensure that the license files are embedded with the licenses.licx file.  See this KB for help with that:

    http://www.atalasoft.com/kb/article.aspx?id=10128

You will need to track the runtime licenses and report to us on a quarterly basis based on the agreement that you signed.  If you have further licensing questions, please call our sales department.
