Is there a recommended resolution for scanning color documents?

We are using the acquisition control to scan in color documents. At 300X300 dpi, some of these files are very big. Is there any recommendation on resolution for scanning color documents?

300 is the average resolution used for color images when scanning.  What resolution you use really depends on what you will do with the image.  If you don't plan to zoom into the image and just view it normally, you could get away with as little as 96.  However, if you need detail I wouldn't go less than 200.

Glenn Thanks for the reply. I have another different question . Is there  a PaperOut event from the acquisition control?

I can only see PaperJam and PaperDoubleFeed

    Thanks

No, TWAIN doesn't have an "out of paper" event.  The DeviceEventFlags enumeration contains all events provided through TWAIN.
