PDF Reader Pricing

SDK Licenses

In order to create applications with the DotImage PDF Reader, each named developer needs a copy of the SDK. The PDF Reader comes in two editions:

• PDF Reader
• PDF Reader with Text Extract

The first developer pays full price, and each additional developer for the same account pays 1/3 of the full SDK price.

DotImage PDF Reader:

1^st SDK: $2,160

Additional SDKs: $720

DotImage PDF Reader with Text Extract:

1^st SDK: $3,000

Additional SDKs: $1,000

With the purchase of an SDK, you get the right to deploy desktop applications runtime royalty-free as long as you have an active maintenance contract.

Each SDK license of PDF Reader includes an SDK license of DotImage Photo.

Server Licenses

If you are creating server deployed software, such as:

• a website
• a server-based Windows service
• a Silverlight application
• a hosted (SaaS) Citrix-deployed application

or any application that is running on a server to service multiple clients or is deployed from a server to multiple clients. If you have a server deployment, then you need a server license for each server where it is running or deployed from. PDF Reader server licenses are priced as follows:

DotImage PDF Reader:

4 Core: $1,440

Unlimited Core: $2,520

DotImage PDF Reader with Text Extract:

4 Core: $2,000

Unlimited Core: $3,500

Each Server license of PDF Reader includes a server license of DotImage Photo.

Maintenance

A purchase of DotImage includes the first year of maintenance. This entitles you to all new releases of the SDK, access to hot fixes, and phone support. After a year, you must pay maintenance to:

• Receive phone support
• Receive online support through our ticketing system with a less than 3-hour response time during working hours
• Access new major releases
• Deploy runtime royalty-free to additional desktops
• Create new runtime royalty-free applications
• Purchase more server licenses for additional servers

Without active maintenance, you can still do the following:

• Maintain existing applications
• Upgrade desktops with new versions of existing applications
• Upgrade servers with new versions of existing applications
• Receive online support through our ticketing system with a 3-day response time
• Access minor releases of the last major release that you had access to

Maintenance for the PDF Reader is priced as follows:

• SDKs: 36% of the current SDK cost
• Servers: 25% of the current Server license cost

Unlimited Licenses

DotImage is also available in an unlimited license where you pay a fixed yearly fee per application suite. The price depends on which DotImage SDK edition and which add-ons you need. Please contact Sales for details on this option:

• SDK activations for your team
• Runtime royalty-free distribution of desktop applications
• Unlimited server deployments
• Free phone and online support

The unlimited license is not available for ISIS or any OCR engine except Tesseract.
