More than 15 billion fax pages are sent, received, printed, signed, and re-faxed every year between health care providers greatly contributing to the inefficiencies in the United States health care system. Using the DotImage Document Imaging SDK, developers at SecureCare were able to use the web annotation features to digitally sign, add text, set check marks, draw circles, and add rubber stamps to TIFF documents once they have been faxed into the system. They can then be saved, stored, and routed using workflow rules. The Tile On Demand™ capability of the Zero-Footprint Viewer enables healthcare providers to efficiently view medical records over a secure internet connection, on any client with a modern browser, even clients using slow dial-up connections. This solution took less than four months to bring to market, and is currently hosting records for several healthcare providers.
While the decision to use Atalasoft was primarily based on the innovative technology they provided, support of the product was critical for meeting their deadlines. “Recently we had some implementation issues with the DotImage SDK. After spending an hour and a half on a remote desktop session with Atalasoft’s developer support engineers, we were able to resolve our issue quickly thanks to their commitment to customer support,” added Nasto.
