Two Choices of Viewer Controls
"Web Document Viewer" Style Viewer
This viewer we offer as our super-easy and clean web/mobile browser viewer. Some features and differences are:
-
See a web demo here: WDV Viewer Demo
-
Tiny amount of code needed to implement - see a how-to
-
Zero-footprint; no plugins to install on client
-
Takes advantage of "flick" scrolling - click and drag a page to scroll with momentum.
-
Pages load on demand as they are scrolled to.
-
Support for ASP.NET and Mobile support for iOS Safari and Android Chrome browsers
-
Annotation support for lines, circles, highlight, sticky note, rectangles (but not custom annotations)
-
Linked thumbnails are possible, but not built-in yet.
"HTML Document Viewer" Style Viewer
This type of viewer has custom annotations support and linked thumbnails, but the feel is a little different and has less support for mobile:
-
See a web demo here: HTML Doc Viewer Demo
-
Slightly more code than WDV needed to implement - see a how-to
-
Zero-footprint; no plugins to install on client
-
Pages load in tiles (AJAX, like Google Maps). Large format images load in only the section viewed at that zoom level, saving bandwidth.
-
Support for ASP.NET, not mobile.
-
Annotations support is full, including custom annotations.
-
Linked thumbnail viewer - drag in the control and we do most of the work to link it to your full document viewer.

Richland County Register of Deeds needed an application that was web-based and managed Deeds through their workflow from their point of origination (capture), verification, indexing, and public viewing. They were able to build this highly custom system cost effectively with DotImage.
"It’s been huge, to have an SDK we can embed so readily into our eRecording system: that’s the core of our program. Everything’s hunkydory. It’s solid. The information technology department loves it, the Register of Deeds loves it and our constituents love it."
